Amy Cieslik Mena

B.S. exercise science, Boston University

fully certified on all apparatus

Founder & Studio Manager

I have a passion for movement. A competitive gymnast in my youth, I have transitioned though several sports and activities throughout the years including track and field, distance running, cheering and tumbling, swimming, collegiate sailing, and triathlons. I deeply enjoy a challenge. I’ve always tried to stay as well rounded as possible: one day I am on the reformer, maybe the next day I'm on the Peloton or lifting… or getting my workout in lifting toddlers. As a mom of two, I’ve found it deeply important to treat my body as well as I can so that I can (sometimes!) feel like the best, strong and capable parent I can be.

I started Pilates over 20 years ago while studying at BU. My first instructor training courses were through Power Pilates, followed by the STOTT Pilates Mat certification, then my full comprehensive 400+ hour certification through Balanced Body. Around 2016 I was introduced to classical Pilates and I fell in love with the traditional, classical system and have devoted the better part of the last decade to re-learning the entire system through the lens of classical Pilates and my personal practice and teaching has never felt stronger or more focused!

Aside from Pilates, I have also obtained certifications in Barre, Spinning, TRX and Personal Training.

In my personal practice, Pilates is a not an option but a necessity. I believe unequivocally that Pilates keeps my muscles strong, my strength balanced and my body injury free through all of my varied training, sports and interests.

  • “I have been working with Amy privately for 3 years since having major spine surgery. Amy’s knowledge of anatomy has made my time spent with her doing Pilates more beneficial than any physical therapy experience I have ever had - and I’ve had a lot due to multiple orthopedic surgeries. I highly recommend her for anyone in need of rehabilitation. I have continued to work with Amy even after I recovered from spine surgery because I feel she has helped me change bad habits that had been contributing to my joint pain and it has helped me to feel stronger and more stable in my body.”

  • “I had a severe herniated disc but was fortunate to avoid surgery. Once I knew surgery was off the table, I realized I needed support to build core strength and prevent a recurrence. That’s when I turned to Amy and began private sessions with her. Since then, I’ve felt significantly stronger, with reduced pain and nerve symptoms, and I genuinely look forward to our weekly sessions. Amy is incredibly knowledgeable, a fantastic coach, and truly an expert in her field.”

  • “I have loved working with Amy at Oxygen! She has a peaceful, realistic, and fun personality, is attentive to detail, and demonstrates a solid knowledge about the relationship between the body's physiology and Pilates. I am never bored with our practice, and consistently leave our sessions feeling physically challenged and stronger. Thank you, Amy!”

Rosemary Carroll

fully certified on all apparatus

I teacher trained with the Lab Method with Josie Bray on mat and equipment 2019-2020. I personally love that the “lineage” is Carola Trier - because she did roller skate dancing and contortion well into her elder years and that inspires me to continue to perform and dance. While I was out West and teaching out of the Movement Collective of Santa Fe, I did continuing education in Ron Fletcher’s standing work and also Eve Gentry’s approach.

I have experience working with older clients, focusing on balance, vertigo, Parkinson's, pelvic floor issues from surgery (and childbirth), clients with spinal stenosis, and specialized populations including equestrians, aerialists, neurodivergent adolescents, and LGBTQ people who may have sensitivity on how anatomy is presented.  I occasionally incorporate some of the images from Franklin Method into my approach when it helps certain people.

In addition I teach Laban-Bartinieff's exercises which are foundational to both physical therapy and modern dance. I have additional certifications in release technique and embodied anatomy and continue to teach dance. Before I teacher trained on the equipment I taught mat classes and dance in NYC public schools 2017-2020

  • “I am relatively new to Pilates and now that I have met Rosemary, I can’t imagine my life without it. She is very enthusiastic and supportive and her feedback is personalized to meet my older body’s needs. She listens well, is super observant, and customizes our routines based on what I need each class. Rosemary’s experienced and knowledgeable and makes each class fun and rewarding.  I feel the results of our work together immediately as well as long term. Rosemary’s upbeat and dynamic personality keep me coming back for more.”

  • “My daughter and I have been taking a private duet with Rosemary for a month now and it's fast become our favorite hour of the week.  Rosemary is a very thoughtful practitioner.  She takes into account what each of our bodies needs as she leads us through a customized series of movements that each time has left us feeling leaner, stronger, more toned and super relaxed.  Plus she is a joy to spend time with!  Looking forward to our next session!”

Noah Herron

fully certified on all apparatus

Noah started his journey with Pilates as a teenager when he was in training to become a professional ballet dancer. After graduating from the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts he moved to NYC and danced for various ballet companies and even toured around the world for 3 years. In 2018 he became certified in the classical Pilates method through Balanced Pilates in NYC and continued to teach there for the next 2 years.

Now he lives in Haverhill with his husband and 4 year old twins. They certainly keep him busy, but he still makes time to share the power of Pilates with his community. He believes strongly in what Pilates can do for the health of one’s body and mind.

He has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds and firmly believes Pilates is for everyone. Whether a fitness enthusiast or newcomer, someone rehabilitating from an injury or surgery, a pregnant or postpartum person, or a Pilates veteran, there is something life changing to glean from a session with Noah.

  • "Noah is the best pilates teacher I've ever had the great good fortune to work with. He is brilliant, demanding, hilarious, kind, and super fun.

Now that I'm older, it is especially gratifying to progress in my practice and grow stronger under his exceptional, classical tutelage."

  • “I’ve been working with Noah for several months, and I can't recommend him highly enough. He's not just knowledgeable; he's incredibly personable and truly tuned in to my learning style. Noah's ability to be gentle yet demanding is a rare and valuable quality. He pushes me to be stronger and better, but always in a supportive and encouraging way. His calming voice and very detailed cues are particularly effective in helping me understand and improve. Whether you're just starting out or looking to advance your skills, Noah is a fantastic instructor.”

  • “Noah has such great attention to detail and an incredible ability to pinpoint exactly how to correct you in an exercise that you thought you were always doing right, but guess what, you weren't and his subtle-yet-precise corrections make a huge difference! He doesn't let you get away with slacking, but he's so nice that you usually don't even want to slack.”

Carla Francis

Level 1 Certified on All Apparatus

My Pilates journey began in 2020 during the pandemic when I discovered mat Pilates as a way to stay active at home. It was a lifeline during those uncertain times. In 2022, I found reformer Pilates, and it completely captured my heart. The way it challenges both body and mind-blending strength, precision, and mindfulness-hooked me instantly. It's now my ultimate form of movement, and I'm hooked for life.

In 2025, I took a bold step and became a certified instructor through Classical Peak Pilates. Now, I share my passion with others, guiding students to discover the joy and strength Pilates brings. Teaching feels like a natural extension of my love for the practice, and I'm thrilled to inspire others on their own journeys.

When I'm not practicing or teaching Pilates, I'm exploring the world through travel, savoring new flavors at restaurants, curling up with a good book or binge-worthy TV show, or cherishing quality time with my family.
